Project initiated
by Khrystyna Khranovska

For the first time, the War Diaries project held a workshop at St. Mary’s School, the largest and oldest Ukrainian school in the UK. Nearly 70 children aged 8 to 16 took part in the creative session, based on a unique art therapy method. It helped the children work through their emotions and strengthen their inner resilience.
Psychologists and art therapists Maria Proshkovska and Khrystyna Ivaniuk ensured that the experience was safe and therapeutic.
As the project team notes:
“We are not just turning the burden of forced displacement into a Suitcase of Freedom – we are making this experience truly healing for the children.”
